Terms & Conditions

Deposits

When making a reservation we will require a non-refundable deposit of £15.00 per person, per night.

This will be taken from a valid Credit or Debit Card at the time of booking or alternatively you may send a cheque with written confirmation within 7 days.

If you are booking online then the cost of your first night's accommodation will be taken as a deposit unless otherwise stated.

Cancellation

Cancellation of your reservation within 14 days of the date of arrival can incur a charge up to the full cost of the reservation in the event of us being unable to re-sell the accommodation.

To make a cancellation, you will be required to call us on 01598 753 315

We cannot accept any cancellations communicated via email.

Holiday Insurance

It is strongly recommended that you take out adequate holiday insurance. This is to safe-guard against loss in the event of sickness, ill-health or any other unforeseen circumstances which may result in you having to cancel your holiday with us.

Children & Pets

The hotel is unsuitable for children under 12 years of age.

We regret that we do not accept any pets.

Smoking

Chough's Nest Hotel is a non-smoking establishment.

It is against the law to smoke within the hotel bedrooms, hallways and public areas, however guests may smoke on the terrace located outside of the hotel building.

Check-in & Check-Out Times

Normal check-in time is from 2pm on the day of arrival.

Should you require access to your room before 2pm (i.e. you are attending a wedding) please telephone 01598 753 315 to advise us of your time of arrival and we will endeavour to oblige.

We require guests to vacate their bedrooms by 10.30am on the day of their departure.

Dinner

Dinner is usually served from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, Monday to Sunday

Due to the popularity of our dining room, it is recommended that you reserve a table for dinner when booking your accommodation as space can be limited.

If you require dinner on the first night of your stay, you must reserve a table when booking your room accommodation.

Please be aware that if you intend to stay at the hotel during our low season, from 1st November to 31st March, dinner is only available if it is booked in conjunction with your accommodation.

Booking & Payments

Please note we are unable to accept "provisional bookings".

All accounts are due for settlement on the day of departure.

We accept payment by cash, a valid debit or credit card and personal cheque up to the value of a current cheque guarantee card.

We do not accept payment by Amex, Diners or Business Cheque.

All prices include Value Added Tax at 20 %

Conditions of Stay

All guests are advised on check-in to take notice of the hotel fire precautions and to familiarise themselves with the fire exit route.

We reserve the right to terminate your booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation where you engage in unacceptable behaviour that causes a disturbance or nuisance to our other guests.

Data Protection

Any data or information supplied to us by you will be used for the purposes of processing your reservation.

We may from time to time send you notifications (via post and/or email newsletter) of special offers and promotions which may be of interest to you.

We reserve the right to alter the above terms and tariffs without prior notice.
